Easy updates that make your home feel fresh, welcoming and well cared for.
Spring is the perfect time to step outside, take a look at your home from the street, and make a few simple updates that can completely transform the way it looks and feels.
You don't need a full renovation, just a few intentional touches can make your home stand out and feel more inviting.

Curb Appeal Boost Guide:
Refresh Your Flower Beds
Clean out weeds, trim back old growth, and add fresh flowers to plant.
Flower beds are one of the first things people notice. Fresh, clean beds instantly signal that a home is well maintained. It can add colors, structure and a "finished" look to your yard.
Simply start by putting the weeds and removing the dead plants. Add new soil if needed, plant new seasonal flowers (Petunias, Marigolds, etc). Finish with mulch for a clean look.

Add Fresh Mulch
Lay new mulch in flower beds and around trees, its one of the easiest ways to make landscaping look polished. Mulch locks in moisture, prevents weeds, and creates contrast that makes plants pop.
Choosing a dark brown or black mulch, spreading it evenly 2-3 inches thick, keep away from plant stems and your garden will look refreshed, clean and inviting!
Upgrade Your Front Door Area
Refresh your entryway with simple decor. The front door is the focal point of the home, upgrading it creates a welcoming, lived-in feel. Perhaps try adding a new doormat, or place a few potted plants around. Even small things like a seasonal wreath keeps the home feeling clean, uncluttered but still welcoming.
Power Wash Surfaces
Powerwash your driveway, walkway and exterior areas. Dirt builds up slowly over time, it's hard to notice it until it's gone. This instantly brighten and refresh a home appearance. Renting a pressure washer is a route often used, focus on higher traffic areas such as siding, sidewalks and porches.
Trim Trees and Bushes
Overgrown trees, shrubs and bushes can make a home look neglected. Maintaining the greenery creates clean lines, opens up the space and can even make a home look bigger. Trim them evenly, remove dead branches and keep shrubs below window height can boost a homes appearance tremendously.
Update Exterior Lighting
Replace outdated light fixtures or add simple pathway lights, this adds both safety and ambiance. It highlights the home at night, and created a warm, welcoming glow. Swap old fixtures for modern ones, add solar lights along walkways if possible.
Homeowner tip: Using warm toned bulbs gives the home a welcoming and inviting feel.
Refresh Your Lawn
Mow, edge and treat your lawn. A healthy lawn is one of the biggest curb appeal factors. A well managed lawn makes an entire property look clean and maintained. Mow regularly, edge along sidewalks and beds, fertilize in early spring and water consistently to have a beautiful well maintained lawn.
Clean and Declutter the Exterior
Remove any clutter from your yard and driveway. Clutter tends to distract from your home's best features. Simply by creating a clean, open and inviting look, boosts curb appeal. Put away any tools or toys, organize outdoor items and keep walkways clear!
