May is typically a favorite month to get out and enjoy our Tresure Valley. The weather is better, markets are back, patios are filling up and the community calendar starts to come alive.

MAY EVENTS GUIDE: BOISE EVENTS


A famers market is one of the best ways to spend a Saturday morning in Boise. Expect fresh produce, baked goods, flowers, local vendors, and food trucks. The market runs Saturdays from spring through fall and makes an easy family outing or weekend routine. 9am-1pm | Free to atten


MAY (SATURDAYS): CAPITAL CITY PUBLIC MARKET

One of downtown Boise’s most popular seasonal traditions. This open-air market features local makers, artists, food vendors, gifts, and a lively atmosphere right in the heart of the city. Perfect for shopping, strolling, and grabbing lunch after. Typically Saturdays | Hours vary | Free to attend



MAY (VARIOUS DATES): MOTHER'S DAY POP UPS AND SPRING MARKETS

Throughout early May, Boise hosts smaller vendor markets, flower pop-ups, and Mother’s Day shopping events. Great for finding thoughtful gifts while supporting local businesses. Dates vary | Many are free



MERIDIAN EVENTS


MAY 3RD: MERIDIAN MAIN STREET MARKET (OPENING DAY)

A perfect way to spend a spring morning in Meridian. Expect local vendors, handmade goods, fresh treats, youth booths, and food options in the heart of downtown. Great for families and an easy weekend plan 9am-2pm | Free to attend



THE VILLAGE FEATURED EVENTS


MAY (EVERY EVENING): THE VILLAGE FOUNTAIN SHOWS

One of the easiest and most enjoyable outings in Meridian. The Village’s signature fountain comes alive with choreographed water, lights, and music in the center courtyard. Perfect for families, date nights, or a casual stop after dinner. Great low-cost option that still feels special. Evenings | Free



MAY (WEEKENDS): FAMILY NIGHT AT THE VILLAGE

A simple but fun weekend outing for families. Let the kids play near the fountain area, grab dessert or dinner, and enjoy the lively atmosphere. Sometimes the best “events” are the easiest ones, and The Village is one of the best places in Meridian for that kind of night out. Weekend evenings | Cost depends on dining/shopping



MAY (CHECK CALENDAR): LIVE MUSIC AND POP UP EVENTS

The Village regularly hosts seasonal entertainment, live music, promotions, and community pop-ups throughout the warmer months. MAY (ANY RAINY DAY): MOVIE + DINNER NIGHT

Not every great outing needs to be outdoors. Catch a movie, enjoy dinner, and turn an ordinary night into something fun without needing a big plan. The Village makes this especially easy because everything is walkable in one spot. Daily | Cost varies



MAY (MOTHER’S DAY WEEKEND): SHOPPING + BRUNCH DAY

The Village is one of the best places in the Treasure Valley for an easy Mother’s Day outing. Grab brunch, browse shops, enjoy the fountain area, and make a relaxed afternoon out of it.
