Things to do in the Treasure Valley this April


April is typically when the Treasure Valley really starts to bloom, come alive. April's events in the community range from local markets and live music to family-friendly events and weekend outings, there's something happening across Boise, Meridian and beyond.

APRIL EVENTS GUIDE: BOISE EVENTS


A long standing tradition where downtown Boise businesses stay open late with specials, pop-ups and small events. local merchants showcase engaging in-store events including food and beverage tastings, local art exhibits, retail trunk shows, live music, family activities, and entertainment in a special and unique way you'll only find in Downtown Boise.


Events typically run from 5–9pm, but each merchant creatively plans their own event so check each listing for individual hours and details. 



A farmers market is arguably one of the best ways to spend a Saturday morning in Boise. Expect fresh produce, baked goods and local vendors. The market runs from 9am-1pm and is on all from April-October. Family friendly, local goods and a great weekend routine!


April typically will feature a mix of touring Broadway shows and local productions. Pricings on tickets can range anywhere from $40-$120, depending on the show. It's a great rainy day option, perfect for date nights or older kids. Aprils line up includes box office favorites like Grease-The Musical and Les Miserables.



LIVE MUSIC AND CONCERTS

Boise venues like Treefort Music Hall, Knitting Factory, and ExtraMile Arena hosts a wide range of concerts. Smaller show pricings start anywhere from $15-$40, for larger concerts the tickets look more like $60+. These venues offer a variety of music styles, from local

artists to major tours.

MERIDIAN EVENTS


A curated local market featuing vendors, handmade goods, and small businessess set up throughout The Village. Over 20+ booths of local small business brands to explore and fall in love with! It's a great mix of shopping and strolling, and a fantastic way to support local small businesses. The event runs from 12pm-8pm, entry is free (pay per vendor)


Bonus tip: Going earlier in the day can help avoid the larger crowds, evenings typically get busier as families tend to come out together.



One of Meridian's most classic local experiences. April marks the start of race season at the speedway. It runs for multiple Saturdays in April, (4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th). Pricing ranges from $10-$15, with a lower rate for the kids. It's high energy, a unique local experience, and great for the whole family!



Mom Tip: Bring ear protection for your younger kids, it can get LOUD, but most tend to enjoy it!
